Celebrating Women’s History Month by Spotlighting Bonney’s Women in Management

At Bonney, we have always believed in our team and providing the best atmosphere for our employees. We love being able to spotlight the wonderful employees that make up the Bonney team. That’s why we are excited that March is Women’s History Month. We are proud to say that more than 50% of our management team are women.
Here is a little bit about each woman and why they love what they do, what inspires them and some of the best advice they have received.
Rebecca M. –Human Resources Manager
Rebecca has been with Bonney for slightly over 10 years and believes that the work culture is always positive, professional and helpful. She loves what she does because it is exciting and rewarding work. Her inspiration is seeing personal and professional growth and being able to help employees succeed. The best advice she has received is: Don’t prejudge.
Patricia C. –Financial Controller
Patricia has been with Bonney for over a year and believes that there is a true “family” feel between all employees. She loves what she does because she is good at it and enjoys doing it. Her inspiration is Candace Bonney. She admires the way she was able to raise a family, continue her education and run a business. She respects her ethical, caring and kind attitude. The best advice she has received is: A bad decision is better than no decision at all. Make a decision, then believe and trust in yourself and your abilities.
Holly G. –Director of Marketing & Customer Relations
Holly has been with Bonney for 5 ½ years and believes that Bonney’s success lies in being able to grow, while still maintaining the family feel and superior service. She loves what she does because she is able to find creative new ways to promote the company she believes in. Her inspiration comes from being involved in all aspects of customer service to really understand what customers need and how to better serve the community. The best advice she has received is: Surround yourself with talented people. You are only as strong as the team you build.
Debbie D. –Senior HVAC Operations Manager
Debbie has been with Bonney for almost a year now and believes that it has been built on providing quality workmanship. She loves what she does because after 26 years in the field she realized she is really good at what she does and enjoys being able to help homeowners with their heating and air conditioning needs. Her inspiration is Oprah Winfrey because she believes in constant self-improvement and openness to learn from others. The best advice she has received is: Be the change you want to see. Lead by example.
Michele L. –Dispatch Operations Manager
Michele has been with Bonney for a little over 9 years now and believes that everyone is treated with respect at Bonney, no matter how long they have been there, which provides a caring working environment. She loves what she does because she was able to grow into her position; originally being hired as customer care she grew with the company and became a fantastic dispatcher. Her inspiration has been Candace Bonney. She appreciates the way she interacts with everyone and that she has given her the opportunity to learn and become the professional she is today. The best advice she has received is: Know and like the person you are in the present and to set attainable goals for the future.
PJ B. –Senior Staff Accountant
PJ has been with Bonney for over a month now and believes that Bonney has a great work environment and enjoys all the friendly and kind employees. She loves what she does because she was “born to be an accountant” and really enjoys numbers. Her inspirations are her daughter and grandchildren. She knows that being a great role model now will allow them to reach for their dreams. The best advice she has received is: “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude!” –Maya Angelou.
Candace B. –President
Candace has been with Bonney for over 26 years and believes that Bonney is great because of the culture it maintains. She loves what she does because she has been able to work hard and use her abilities to further the business. Her inspiration is being able to see someone come from a tough background and find success in hard work and perseverance. The best advice she has received is: Put both of your faces on the truck and in your advertising.
